Places do have a role. Punjab is known since the time of Karna for its courage and generosity. Dehradun, the place of Drona continues to be known for learning. Singapore, the seat of Maha Meru mountain continues to be prosperous and has one of the best governments. Cuddapah is said to be where Laxmana changed tune and refused to carry Lord Rama and we know what's going on there even today.
